What are the Adept Awards?

            The Adept Awards are a comprehensive and unique reward system designed and implemented exclusively by Reborn Darkness. The awards themselves are represented by the picture of the character as they appear in game. The Adept Awards are prominent and engaging enough that anyone who wants to can engross themselves in it, but also structured so that if any authors do not wish to partake in receiving them, they are not by any means required to.

What do these awards mean?

            Adept awards represent a great many things. Some are like badges, showing that that the author has met certain criteria or is of a certain skill level. Some are more of monuments, testaments to the Authors victory in contests or other significant accomplishments. Some could be considered like trading cards of sorts, with some Adept Awards being either harder to obtain or more limited in number, and likewise more prestigious. The awards are, essentially, whatever you want them too be; a comprehensive rewards system, indicators displaying your writing skill, collectibles to show off to the world, or any of many other roles.

How can I get me some of those?

            The easy answer is just to spend time on Reborn Darkness. Writing, reviewing, rating, commenting, discussing, and generally participating can all be rewarded with Adept Awards. You are able to win the awards simply by making yourself a part of the Reborn Darkness community, or you may look at the specific list of Adept Awards and purposefully attempt to fill some of the criteria. You may also receive these from either of the staff administrators, as we will distribute a few free awards every week or so to outstanding authors in our community.

What happens once I win one?

            Whenever you receive an Adept Award, it will be posted in your author’s bio. The awards are not uploaded automatically; FlamingMage, HadesAbyss and I have to post them ourselves, one at a time. If there is a slight delay in receiving your award, try not to be impatient, because we are trying. If it has been at least a week, feel free to alert us in the current newsboard to what we have overlooked.

How many are there?

            There are quite a few available adept awards, and more will be added over time or for special occasions. Right now, there are 45, most of which can be obtained without any wait. List two will add 45 more, whenever it is finished.

Some are kept secret for dramatic and speculation purposes, but most will be readily visible if you wish to preview them, and all have instructions on how to obtain them. All of these can be given as administrator gifts unless otherwise stated. note that every revealed award is posted in FlamingMage's bio. No, he hasn't gotten all of them.
